Cheadle Moon

Cheadle Moon was an art instillation (Museum of the Moon by artist Luke Jerram) at St Giles The Abbot in Cheadle, Staffordshire. Lukes work travels around the world and features a 6m wide moon that appears to float above you. The three week project was created by Outside Arts to celebrate the life of Mary Bragg, a local pioneering selenographer. She was one of the first women to be accepted into the Royal Astrological Society.

I had the pleasure of working as part of the Events team and as a result had time to photograph the moon in all its glory. I have since been commission by the church to create postcards and photographs in celebration of this event and as a momento for local people.

It was a hugely special project and it was impossible to take a bad photograph of this stunning exhibit.

Property Photography
